Expansion bolt for aid climbing and alpine raps. To use it you drill the hole, hammer in the stud, and draw it out with a wrench to tighten the collar. The independent dog-point impact site protects the starter threads from hammer abuse. Note, the new KB3 version has greater strength than previous generations.
