A tool for testing your chain, to measure the degree of wear. For most models, the distance between links on a new chain is exactly one inch. As the chain wears, it stretches, increasing the distance between the links. The gauge makes it easy to determine when your chain needs replacing.
- Made of laser-cut, high-quality CrMo steel
- To use fit the gauge onto your chain and read the percentage worn on the wear indicator
- The gauge is calibrated to indicate 0.00%, 0.50%, 0.75% and 1.00% wear
- Most manufacturers recommend replacing chains after they are 0.75% or 1.00% worn
